at Baltimore, MD. His enlistment records states Lawrence had completed grammar school and was employed at the telephone company.
Pfc Butler was awarded the Purple Heart Medal and the Croix de Guerre Unit Citation [French].
Pfc Butler is interred the Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France at Plot H Row 21 Grave 33.
