Pfc Beasom enlisted in the Army on Dec 27, 1940 at Harrisburg, PA. His enlistment records states Donald completed 2 years of high school and was employed as a cook.

Pfc Beasom was awarded the Purple Heart Medal and the Croix de Guerre Unit Citation [French].

Pfc Beasom is interred at an unknown location, possibly Pennsylvania.
